HWA Bram Stoker Award: Ballottaggi preliminari

La Horror Writers Association ha annunciato la lista delle opere che parteciperanno ai ballottaggi preliminari del premio Bram Stoker Award. Si tratta di dieci opere per ogni categoria prevista dal premio, cinque sono quelle che hanno raccolto più voti da parte di tutti i membri della Horror Writers Association, le altre cinque sono scelte da una giuria della HWA dedicata per ogni categoria. Gli Active Members (e Lifetime Members) della HWA voteranno tra queste dieci opere, nelle rispettive categorie, le cinque che otterranno più voti accederanno al ballottaggio finale, che rappresenta la vera e propria nominations (finale) al Bram Stoker Awar per l'assegnazione del premio. L'opera che riceverà più voti nel ballottaggio finale vincerà il Bram Stoker Award. Senza entrare nei dettali del regolamento del premio, che può essere consultato integralmente sul sito della Horror Writers Association, in alcuni casi le opere che andranno ai ballottaggi finali potranno essere meno di cinque, sia per quelle votate dai membri che dalla Giuria, a seconda di un punteggio minimo che va ottenuto, e in alcuni casi, come noterete, alcune opere potranno andare direttamente al ballottaggio finale, a seconda di punteggi ricevuti e/o comunità di vedute della Giuria.

Non si tratta ancora delle nominations (dei finalisti), che scaturiranno solo dalle votazioni del ballottaggio finale, che inizierà a febbraio per concludersi entro il 31 marzo, in occasione della cerimonia di premiazione del Bram Stoker Award. La Horror Writers Association prega tutti i media che intendano divulgare questa lista di ballottaggi preliminari di non confonderli con le nominations al Bram Stoker Award, che scaturiranno dal successivo ballottaggio finale.

Segnalo con piacere che questa è la prima edizione del Bram Stoker Award nella quale potranno votare membri italiani, sia per i ballottaggi preliminari (che hanno portato a questa lista) sia per il ballottaggio finale, per il quale potranno votare gli Active Members italiani.
